    1. Research on environmental measurement technology, environmental dynamics analysis, and environmental impact assessment of atmospheric and water environments
    2. Research on recycling, environmental conservation, and environmental materials
    3. Joint research with industry, government, and academia
  2. Education and public relations activities related to environmental science
    1. Lectures on environment-related subjects in undergraduate and graduate schools, such as “Global Environmentalism”, “Environmental Chemistry”, and so on
    2. Public lecture, “Living with the Green Earth”
    3. Publishing a public relations magazine, “Environment”
  3. Management of waste from experiments generated in the course of university education and research activities
    1. Management and treatment of specially-controlled industrial waste
    2. Management and treatment of Organic liquid waste and inorganic liquid waste
    3. Management of liquid waste analyzers and treatment facilities
  4. Measurement and monitoring of wastewater on campus
    1. Constant monitoring and recording of pH and water temperature of wastewater, including laboratory wastewater
    2. Analysis of wastewater on campus twice a month
    3. Subcontracted wastewater analysis five to six times a year, for cross-checking
  5. Establishment, maintenance, and deployment of an environmental and safety management system ,ESMS
    1. Establishment and management of a waste separation and collection system that promotes the 3Rs ;Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
    2. Operation and improvement of ISO 14001
    3. Implementation of education and training on ESMS
